For four years, France’s finest artisans carefully restored this magnificent architectural gem to its former glory.
Great care was taken to preserve the heritage, authenticity and spirit of the building, while introducing luxurious modern elements for discerning guests to savour.
The renovations featured 40,000 pieces of gold leaf, 1,000 individual pieces of wood were removed, restored and replaced and “fish scale” slate roof tiles were fashioned by hand.
Skilled stonemasons recreated the decorative stone flowers, bows and ribbons on the façade by adopting the same sculpting techniques used during the original construction.
