Hotel Endsleigh has extraordinary architecture deep in the secluded Devon countryside.
It is a Grade I historic house set in 100 acres of fairytale woodland, follies and grottos created by Humphry Repton. The Duke of Bedford, who owned a third of Devon, chose this spot for his fishing and hunting lodge.
Endsleigh has 18 rooms each individually designed with uncluttered elegance. The bedrooms are a study in painted wallpapers, rolltop bathtubs, book-lined shelves and snugly quilted beds.
The Suites can comfortably accommodate families and have a separate sitting room and walk-in showers. The thatched gatekeepers lodge is one of the suites which has, in addition, a private garden and a woodburning stove.
The Repton and Bedford rooms have fantastic garden views and are large rooms. The remaining rooms are Classic doubles.
They are havens away from everyday life all beautifully furnished, several have garden views and are really good sizes.
The hotel has plenty of cots and z-beds which can be used in most rooms. Well behaved dogs are also welcomed.

An unusual cottage orné built by Wyatt for the Duke of Bedford. There is no traffic or aircraft noise, no light pollution, just the sound of the Tamar river and the sight of groups of champion trees in the Repton garden, also Grade I-listed.
The new suite is the first in the stable building. Here you are cocooned in your own apartment with two bedrooms, with double height ceiling.
The suite is perfect for a young family. One of the bedrooms is a tongue and groove cabin with two built in bunks.

The Lodge is a thatched cottage at the top of the drive one mile away from the Main house. The suite comprises of a sitting room with log burning stove and kitchen dresser for preparing tea and coffee.

There is a dressing room with a sofa that may be converted into a bed suitable for a child. The Lodge comes with its own private garden.

At Endsleigh the result is an intricate combination of the freshest Devon produce with that Italian philosophy.
The cooking takes its inspiration from the surrounding countryside, and includes rabbit, venison and beef.
Afternoon tea is served everyday between 15.30h and 17.30h. The library table is covered in cakes, scones, jam and cream.
You are welcome to help yourself to as much or as little as you like.
The waiting staff will serve you with coffee or a tea and a selection of finger sandwiches.

Hotel Endsleigh is an ideal place for family get-togethers, corporate away-days or parties with a group of friends.
With a number of public lounges it provides a flexible space for events of all kinds, from a discrete directors meeting to a celebratory party.
In addition to the comfortable lounges within the main house, the Hotel also has a large room in the Stable which can be used for conferences, parties or large dinners.
It can seat up to 80 people for dinner, 100 for theatre-style presentations or 140 for dancing the night away.
