You enter the gates into a corner of paradise where the scents of jasmine, bougainvillea and rose guide the visitor up the gently sloping, fresh, cool lanes.
Residences like the Château de la Chèvre d’Or, the former abode of the Riquier family and later of Prince William of Sweden, have been converted into artists’ workshops and crafts stores.
You can easily imagine, a century ago, donkeys coming back from the surrounding countryside laden with figs, carob, olives and mandarin oranges from Eze.
The bell tower of Sainte-Croix Chapel of the White Penitents stands as a reminder that village belonged to Provence until the end of the 14th century.
The choir of the Church of Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption boasts Baroque décor and an Egyptian cross evoking for Eze the mysteries of the goddess Isis.
The aloe, euphorbia and cactus of the exotic garden, created on the hillsides surrounding the village in 1949 by Jean Gastaud, provide the finishing touch to this heavenly spot.

And the Barlow Suite as a tribute to an American composer who was very productive in the 30s and 40s and would stay regularly at Eze Village over almost 30 years.

The Bar du Chateau is a very cozy place to meet.
This private lounge with its wide doorway overlooking the ‘Deep Blue Sea’ invades its guests to come and discover all the attractions of this location with its thousand and one faces.
The furniture, oval wrought-iron chandeliers, crenelated cornices, Carrara marble colonnades, a terrace with superb panoramic views, together offer an unusual and rather exotic décor.
Arnaud Faye starts his career in 1999.
Successively, the young chef works in renowned establishments, all with 3 stars in the Michelin guide, such as L’Arnsbourg at Baarenthal, Le Buerehiesel d’Antoine Westermann, le Relais Bernard Loiseau.
In 2007, at only 29 years old, Arnaud Faye becomes the Executive Chef of the restaurant 'Espadon' in the famous Parisian palace ‘Le Ritz’.
Two years later, the restaurant is awarded its second star. At the beginning of 2011, Arnaud joins Thierry Marx at the Mandarin Oriental in Paris, for the opening of the new hotel.
The Mandarin Oriental gains its second star within less
than a year of operating.
In 2012, Arnaud Faye takes on a new challenge: he becomes the executive chef at the hotel 'L’Auberge du Jeu de Paume', member of the association Relais & Châteaux, property of his highness Prince Aga Khan in Chantilly.

His career was built within remarkable establishments, all with 3 stars in the Michelin guide, such as: ‘L’auberge de l’Eridan’ and ‘La Ferme de Mon Père’ of Marc Veyrat, ‘L’Arnsbourg’ of Jean-Georges Klein, where he met Arnaud Faye, and the ‘Louis XV’ in Monaco.
Meeting Christophe Michalak was decisive and the years spent by his side at the Plaza-Athénée remain a major step in his career.
Winner of the European pastry cup, member of the French
team for the World pastry cup in 2009, Julien Dugourd has joined Château de la Chèvre d’Or 7 years ago bringing a contemporary and elegant approach.
In 2010, he creates an emblematic dessert ‘Vision of a lemon’.
His pastry is never demonstrative and his perfect technique always emphasizes the savors and textures of his desserts.
