HISTORY
The Hotel Prinsenhof is hidden behind the typical Bruges façade of an old mansion. This house was built in 1930 and owned by the Traen family.
In 1986, Mr. and Mrs. Soenen-Vandeputte decided to buy and renovate the building into a stylish and comfortable hotel in Bruges. On the 1st of August 1986, the job was finished and the Prinsenhof Hotel opened its doors for the first time.
After a long cooperation, the hotel was taken over by their daughter Katrien Soenen and her husband Thierry Lemahieu.
They made the hotel to what it is now, an oasis of tranquillity in the heart of Bruges. In 2006, the hotel extended with 3 more rooms, which makes it a total of 19 rooms.
In 2011, the time was right for realizing further extension. The building, situated Ontvangersstraat 7, and former private house of Katrien and Thierry, was being completely renovated and integrated in the hotel.
After 2 years of intensive work, the hotel not only extended with 5 more rooms, now it also had a brand-new loungebar, a new elevator, a new kitchen and a new breakfast room.
Each room was decorated and designed with a constant concern for every detail, comfort and regulations.
Nowadays the Prinsenhof Hotel, with its 24 rooms and its extremely professional collaborators, is absolutely ready to receive and spoil you.
