The Epacha Game Lodge & Spa with 18 spacious luxury chalets is the main lodge on this 21 000 ha private reserve.
It was also a pioneer in Namibia offering the first fully-equipped luxurious wellness centre comprising five treatments rooms (of which one is open air), a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.
Eagle Tented Lodge is the more adventurous lodge on the reserve with eight safari tents built in typical Hemingway style with an outdoor shower and another eight more spacious tents containing a small lounge and an open air bathtub on the deck overlooking the private reserve.
The Royal Impala Private Villa contains three bedrooms and has its own private swimming pool in the secluded garden.
The Villa can be booked exclusively, with a private chef, butler, ranger and 4×4 game drive vehicle at your service.
Villa guests can enjoy the spa at the main Epacha Lodge.
The Epacha Wildlife & Wellness Resort is the ideal destination in Namibia for a real "Spafari".
Combining the adventure of a safari with complete relaxation is executed perfectly in all three of the lodges on the reserve.
Mystique Spa @ Epacha Game Lodge - the Epacha Game Lodge and Spa was the first in Namibia to combine the African safari experience with wellness when it first opened its doors in 2001 and many other lodges have since followed suit.
This pioneer Spa is fully equipped with a Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and 5 treatment rooms.
The most popular attraction at the spa is the open-air duo-treatment room, where it is possible to enjoy one of the many treatments together with your partner.
To explore the Epacha Private Game Reserve you can join on a morning, afternoon or night drive and discover the many different species on the reserve, including some rare species like the the Blackfaced Impala, Cheetah and the Bat-eared fox.
Another major advantage of staying at a private reserve is that you will be guided by professional bush rangers who join you in the fields and track down the rare species for you!
Together with your ranger as guide it is also possible to leave the 4×4 vehicle and follow track on foot, or simply enjoy a stunning sunset in the middle of the wilderness.
"The rarest of the bush species come to life at night!"
A daytime safari varies greatly from a night game drive.
The rangers work with a tracker who sits on the front of the vehicle and tries to spot the rare species such as the Bat-eared Fox, Aardwolf, Vulture, Hyena and Cheetah, amongst others.
They are also very clued-up about the fauna and flora of the area and you are guaranteed to learn a few new things.
Join them on a night drive on the Epacha Private Game Reserve and see some creatures you've never seen before!
Besides the own game drives in the Epacha Wildlife Sanctuary, the hotel's team also offers daily safaris into Etosha National Park.
The experienced rangers take the guests into Etosha National Park for a full or a half day excursion on one of the open 4×4 game drive vehicles.
Etosha gives visitors the opportunity to spot some of the most fascinating animal species you'll find in Africa.
You can see large prides of lion, elephant herds, plenty of zebra and springbok as well as the rarer leopards, cheetahs and rhino!
Etosha, meaning "place of dry water", is centered on a huge, flat calcite depression (or pan) of about 5 000 square kilometres in northern Namibia.
The "pan" provides a great, parched, silver-white backdrop of shimmering mirages in an area of semi-arid savannah grassland and thorn shrubbery; the pan itself contains water only after very good rains and sometimes for only a few days each year.
This however, is enough to stimulate the growth of blue - green algae which lures thousands of flamingos to the pan.
Having been proclaimed a game reserve in 1907 and covering an area of more than 22 750 square kilometres, Etosha National Park is one of Africa's major wildlife sanctuaries.
Despite being a highly "managed" environment featuring a cluster of man-made water-points around the central pan with a boundary designated by a patrolled electrified fence, this is indeed one of the most special game parks in Africa.
During the drier months (June to November), the water points exert a magnetic pull on the big game herds, and form the centrepiece for visitors looking to see the nearly 150 mammal species to be found in the park, including several rare and endangered species such as the Black Rhino, Black-faced Impala, Tsessebe and Gemsbok.
Once you have seen the wildlife and enjoyed the spa at Epacha Game Lodge, you may just want a little more activity and excitement; try your hand at the age-old art of shooting special flying targets with a shotgun.
The hotel's team won't leave you alone with these fire-arms; you will be supervised the entire time with a guide at hand to answer any questions you may have.
The rangers will take you to the venue where you can enjoy clay pigeon shooting and you also have the option to take your own vehicle.
This unique activity is cherished by many of the guests and the lodge provides clay pigeons and cartridges of bullets.
This activity is guaranteed to get your adrenalin rushing and proves to be an exhilarating experience time and time again.
The Epacha Wildlife Reserve is the ideal extension to your Etosha Safari. With more than 21.000 ha this reserve is one of the largest private wildlife reserves in Namibia.
Going into the Etosha National Park with a professional guide, on an open safari vehicle is the ultimate wildlife experience in Namibia!
The variety of animals available for viewing offers something different from the ones that can be seen during the day. Discover these and many other animals by night and open yourself up to a whole new experience.
