The house of the hotel is an Arts & Crafts gem built in 1904 by the distinguished architect Francis Whitwell.
Sue and Peter Robinson, the hosts of the family hotel, fell in love with Nanny Brow the first time they saw it, in their hearts, they could see the potential of this tired and neglected old house.
In 2009, Peter and Susan Robinson became custodians of Nanny Brow and it's sculpted history and began restoration work to breathe life back into the building.
The restoration was a labour of love and it took two years for Peter and Susan to accomplish their vision of a luxury bed and breakfast, with 14 individually designed en-suite bedrooms that embodied the creativity with which 'Nanny Brow' was originally built.
