The Beau-Rivage Palace has never closed its doors since 1861, and over the years has played host to many illustrious guests. Victor Hugo, Charlie Chaplin, Coco Chanel, Nelson Mandela and Tina Turner are just a few of the many famous names.
Considered to be one of Europe's finest hotels, the Beau-Rivage Palace remains true to its traditional values while at the same time constantly breathing new life into the hotel, matching the rapid and fascinating development of the "history of travel". Here we call it "Tradition in Motion".
The latest manifestation of this constant updating is the refurbishment of the Palace Wing by talented interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon.
Nestling in 4 hectares of gardens on the shores of Lake Geneva and with a view of the Alps, the Beau-Rivage Palace enjoys an exceptional location, but is nevertheless just 10 minutes from the city centre, in the Ouchy harbour district.
The bedrooms look out over Lake Geneva or the gardens.
There are five categories.
The majority of rooms were refurbished in 2012 by Pierre-Yves Rochon.

2 GUIDE MICHELIN STARS
18 GAULT MILLAU POINTS
The Beau-Rivage Palace has placed Anne-Sophie Pic at the helm of the kitchens of its fine-dining restaurant.
While continuing to preside over her restaurant in Valence (France), the three star Michelin chef has entrusted the realisation of her creations to Kevin Gatin.
The restaurant has been awarded two stars in the Michelin guide and 18/20 in the Gault Millau.
By opening her restaurant in Lausanne, Anne-Sophie Pic wished to broaden her palette by incorporating local produce.
She works closely with local producers and for her customers she mixes flavours that are seasoned with passion.
“For the restaurant at the Beau-Rivage Palace, a splendid establishment with which I share the culture of excellence, I have conceived a carte and two menus which tell the story of family, love, nature, the freshness of a berry picked beside a path, the strength of a woodland mushroom, the memory of the smells in the family kitchen; all this for simple and authentic pleasure.” Anne-Sophie Pic
Guided by her generous and sharing nature, Anne-Sophie Pic is proposing two “Emotions” menus, which she adapts in accordance with the seasons and her inspiration.
The “Pic Collection” menu is centred on family classics - dishes that inescapably speak to traditional tastes and values.
Imagined by the English interior design architect Stewart Wilsdon, the dining room favours natural hues of beige and white nuances.
Large French windows provide a breathtaking panorama of Lake Leman and the French Alps.
As soon as the weather permits, tables are arranged on the terrace beneath the shadows of the ancient cedars in 4 hectares of parkland.
To complete the menu and the view, there is nothing better than a bottle of wine chosen from the 75,000 bottles collected the Beau-Rivage cellar, one of the largest wine collections in Europe.
