After experiencing many cultures and meeting a diversity of wonderful people, they decided to return home to share their rich experience of hospitality with others.
They opened their monumental Amsterdam art house for guests.
Breitner House already had a rich history of artists, poets and other creative residents, which always gave the house a joyful, creative and cultural spirit.
Camilla and Guido set their goal to revive this creative festivity.
They created two luxurious suites to offer their guests a rich way of feeling at home in the city of Amsterdam. The most important thing for Camilla and Guido is to create a stay at Breitner House like they would want to experience themselves.
This consists of a luxurious stay while still receiving warm, personal care to create a lifelong memory.

Initially constructed in 1882, the luxurious Breitner House has been a home to many cultural bohemians since the beginning of the 19th century.
Ever since, the Breitner House has been closely connected to art and literature, its location and architecture providing inspiration to well-known artists throughout Dutch history.
Famous impressionists such as George Breitner and Isaac Israels spent their days painting in its spacious rooms, enjoying the architecture that offered them fantastic light from all angles.
They, amongst many others, made the Breitner House a centre of artistry, leading many people to walk the cobble stoned streets through the heart of Amsterdam up to its doors and famous parties.

The owners of the Breitner House, actress Camilla Braaksma and director Guido Bouvy, decided to open their doors and share the wonderful experience the house has to offer. Creating an elegant and refined boutique hotel in the centre of Amsterdam, they transformed part of their house into two beautiful suites, reflecting the romantic atmosphere of the historical city.
Here, guests enjoy the lavish treatment the owners have to offer, including a luxurious champagne breakfast in the classic diningroom with a view on the park that has inspired so many artists throughout time.

The Breitner House offers its guests two luxurious suites, transforming the old ateliers of George Breitner and Isaac Israels into a peaceful haven of refined elegance.
Both suites are stylishly decorated with accents of silk, velour and brocade fabrics.
The authentic, ornamented ceilings in combination with Italian chandeliers and canopies provide you with a royal peace and comfort to optimize your stay in Amsterdam each suite becomes a private gallery, “Yours” for a few days.
When you enter the George Breitner suite, located on the first floor, you get the feeling that no time has passed since the construction in 1882.
The suite of approx. 80m2 consists of a personal writing desk overlooking the garden, large divan, fireplace, Italian chandeliers and canopy with the finest linen.
The front provides a panoramic and unique view of the Oosterpark and the monumental Tropenmuseum. A beautiful wall painting of irises in gold and blue emphasizes the artistic past of the Breitner House.
Guests can enjoy the spacious private bathroom, including a bathtub and separate shower.
The Isaac Israels Suite is situated on the ground floor overlooking the beautiful private garden including private terrace amidst rare fruit trees, flowers, statues and a small pond.
The suite, decorated in a palette of powder blues and sand, of approx. 70m2 consists of a personal writing desk overlooking the garden, large fauteuils, a fireplace, uniquely constructed authentic ornamented ceilings, Italian chandeliers, and canopy made from the finest linen.
The private Italian decorated bathroom has a separate walk-in shower with rain showerhead, a choice of luxury toiletries, bathrobe and slippers and hairdryer.
In walking distance from the city center you will find the Breitner House which is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Amsterdam where nature, science, history and culture converge.
The Breitner House has a view over the beautiful Oosterpark. In this cultural oasis you will find a surprising number of interesting sites per square meter.
