The grand suite forms part of the palazzo’s “piano nobile”. This stately suite enjoys a king size bed with an intricately designed wrought iron headrest behind which the original traditional fireplace lies together with a cantilevered marble wash hand basin which was designed and manufactured specifically for this suite; the shape was carved out of a large bianco carrara marble block.
The shower facilities are also wisely concealed behind the glazed curved partition in a satin finish, allowing privacy but also taking advantage of the room’s natural lighting.
This room also benefits from a Hidrobox bath tub purposely placed in the traditional Maltese balcony, to take advantage of the exclusive view of the Carmelite Church’s architecture with its grand facade standing only five metres across. Moreover, great views of Valletta’s narrow Old Theatre street can be enjoyed from the tall window.
The piano nobile suite is well lit due to its large apertures flooding the room with daylight and is also very well-ventilated due to its soaring ceilings.
The room is also equipped with an upright piano which was also restored from the original furniture that adorned the house previous to its conversion.

This contemporary newly constructed suite is also set on the top most floor. The furniture in this suite is simple, but the Camilleri Paris Mode fabricated custom curtains add warmth to these otherwise austere room.
In suite 8, a corridor was formed from concrete-finished partitions which directs the guests immediately towards the terrace. This same corridor also separates the sleeping area from the bathroom facilities. Within the bathroom itself, a hexagon-shaped timber NIC Design bath tub & glass aperture allows views of the private terrace together with the Carmelite Church façade and cupola.
Timber decking was used for the floor of this terrace in particular. The actual suite is separated from the terrace by means of a large aperture made of soft pastel coloured double-leaf glazed doors and louvered panels.
When closed, the louvered doors allow shade and privacy; when opened they allow the elevated terrace to become one with the sleeping area.

The kitchen is led by Chef Andrew Borg, previously Chef Patron at Black Pig Restaurant. His extensive experience in kitchens throughout Europe has complimented and developed his devotion for fine cuisine. With an emphasis on using the freshest produce, Risette’s menu changes weekly.
The menu combines cultures and methods into dishes which express Andrew’s passion for flavours together with his mastery of technicalities; This selective a la carte is complimented with attentive detail to the fine produce that he chooses to include in his dishes;
Set under the iconic Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Risette promises a wholesome complete experience. Risette is open for lunch and dinner.
