Welcome to Iceland! After arriving at Keflavik International Airport, you will be transported to your accommodation in Reykjavík.
If you would like to indulge in the hot spring baths right after arrival, we can arrange a stop at the famous Blue Lagoon. After soaking in milky blue waters of the lagoon, we shall then head to your accommodation in Iceland‘s beautiful capital city.
Afterward, enjoy a day in Reykjavik. Visit sights such as the Sun Voyager sculpture; the Harpa music and conference hall and the old harbor in Reykjavík. Furthermore, no visit is complete without a visit to Hallgrimkirkja, Reykjavík‘s landmark. You can take an elevator to the top and enjoy a spectacular view.
We can also arrange for optional activities, such as a helicopter sightseeing tour; a Reykjavík walking tour or even a visit into a dead volcano chamber (summer only).

Today, your Iceland and Greenland holiday starts for real! It is time to hit the road and start exploring Iceland. Drive to Thingvellir National Park, one of the most spectacular and unique places here and thus a definite must-see. Because of its’ beauty and geological as well as historical value, Thingvellir was accepted as UNESCO World Heritage Site back in 2004. Thingvellir is the site where the Viking chieftains arranged their ́s assemblies in ancient times.
Here, you can also see how the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates are diverging. You can thus even go on an optional snorkeling or diving tour in the Silfra rift and snorkel or dive in between two continents. This will be one of the most unique experiences you have ever made.
After exploring the wonders of Thingvellir, we visit the Geysir geothermal fields and Gullfoss waterfall; to complete the so-called “Golden Circle”. In the afternoon, we can enjoy a relaxing soak in the Secret Lagoon and visit the crater Kerid, before we head to your accommodation for the night. It is located in the Hella/ Hvolsvollur area.

Today, you will be exploring some of the highlights of the south coast of Iceland. This area has many spectacular sights and informative centers. Before going sightseeing, we thus highly recommend a visit to the LAVA Centre in Hvolsvöllur, one of our personal favorites. You can learn more about the volcanic activity in the area there.
Afterward, our first stop will be Seljalandsfoss waterfall, famous for being one of the few waterfalls, you can walk behind. Close by, you will find its’ little brother Gljufrabui. Furthermore, you will go to Skogar, where we find the power of the mighty Skogafoss waterfall.
Here, we can do optional activities such as snowmobiling on the glacier Myrdalsjokull; glacier walking/hiking on the glacier Solheimajokull or going on an ATV tour on the black sands of Solheimasandur, it is so much fun!
To end your day, we highly recommend a stroll on the Reynisfjara black sand beach. Be stunned by the beautiful Reynisdrangar basalt stacks, before visiting the charming town of Vik. You will stay the night in the Vík/ Kirkjubaejarklaustur area.

Today, it is time to visit Skaftafell, a wilderness area that is part of the Vatnajokull National Park. There are many nice hiking trails in Skaftafell park, including one that leads you to the waterfall Svartifoss. The waterfall has pitch-black hexagonal basalt columns. Here, we can arrange to join an optional glacier hike on the glacier Vatnajokull.
After exploring the wonders of Skaftafell, we shall continue to the Fjallsarlon Glacier Lagoon. On a clear day, we can enjoy fantastic views over the glacier. The floating icebergs will for sure take your breath away. To complete your day, we make your way to the glacier lagoon Jokulsarlon. During summertime, you can enjoy an optional boat or kayaking tour and sail across the icebergs. We shall spend the night at the glacier lagoon or in the Hofn area.

It is time to say goodbye to the Southeast part of Iceland and head back towards Reykjavík. If you would like to start your day with an adventure, we can arrange for you to join an optional puffin watching tour to Ingolfshofdi, a private nature reserve. During your drive back to Reykjavík, we shall visit some of the sights we might have missed on your way East; or explore areas such as the beautiful Fjadrargljufur canyon.
And for sure we shall stop at Dyrholaey, a natural stone arch that stretches into the sea and is home to thousands of seabirds during the summer months. Upon arrival in Reykjavik, we get to your hotel for having a rest.

It is time for a change of scenery! You will fly to Greenland today and we are sure that this will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
In the morning, you will be transported to the domestic airport of Reykjavík, where you will board a three-hour flight to Ilulissat, a town that is located in western Greenland. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a representative from your accommodation, who will transfer you to your accommodation.
In the afternoon, you can enjoy a walk through this charming and colorful town; watch the local huskies (Greenland dog); visit the Knud Rasmussen Museum, or simply relax and enjoy the view towards the Ilulissat Icefjord. Ilulissat is renowned for its beautiful and breathtaking Ice Fjord. In the evening, you will join an Icefjord boat cruise.
The icebergs reach up to 100 meters above sea level. These large pieces of ice have broken off from Sermeq Kujalleq, the most productive glacier in the northern hemisphere.

Today, you will have a free day to enjoy Ilulissat and its’ surroundings. We can arrange for optional day tours, such as a boat cruise up to the glacier Eqi; a helicopter sightseeing flight; or a visit to a local village, just to name a few. You can also do some hiking on your own or join a guided city walk.
In the evening, we recommend a nice local dinner at Hotel Arctic. Their gourmet cuisine is recognized as one of the best in the country. We encourage you to sample the Greenlandic dishes, but there will also be more familiar dishes. You will overnight at the same accommodation as the previous night.

On this day, you will be heading back to Iceland, after what has most definitely been a phenomenal experience for you. In the morning, you still have some time to stroll around town and pick up some locally handcrafted souvenirs, before a hotel representative will take you to the local airport of Ilulissat.
Upon arrival in Reykjavík (late afternoon/evening), you will be picked up at the airport and transported to your accommodations in the city center.

Today, you will have a free day in Reykjavík. So, relax after your tour! If you want to be like us Icelanders, we suggest a visit to one of our many geothermally heated swimming pools. Afterward, you can go on a little shopping spree. You will find many interesting shops with local handcrafts and designs on Laugavegur. There is also plenty of charming cafés.
Furthermore, it is possible to do some more optional activities that will make for the perfect end of your Iceland and Greenland holiday, promise!
