In the year 2000, Coen and Catherine bought Chateau de Villette in Poil, Burgundy and celebrated their wedding before starting a 2 years renovation.
After the renovation, they decided to leave their busy life and settled down permanently at the domain.
Catherine then opened the chateau for guests and started an prestigious B&B, which offers the service of a small luxury boutique hotel with1 family room and 4 double bedrooms.
On the estate of 500 acres you will also find two self-catering cottages, a swimming pool and a tennis court.
The chateau is located in the Regional Parc of the Morvan, close to Autun known as an old Roman town build for the Emperor August.
Between Autun and Chateau de villette, there is a very interesting archeological site of Bibracte.
For the wine lovers, the chateau is close to the famous Burgundian wine villages such as Meursault, Pommard, Mercurey, Volnay, Puligny Montrachet.
Beaune, situated at about 75 km , is a great day trip to explore the Burgundian gastronomy and the wine.
After exploring the secrets of Burgundy during the day, nothing better then coming home at Villette to relaxing at the pool or in the gardens, once designed by André le Notre and enjoy the beauty of the Morvan hills with a nice glass of wine.
A few nights a week, Catherine prepares a nice table d'hôtes and spoils her guests with a gastronomic 4 course dinner.
Chateau de Villette is a private and stylish private home, formerly the playground of the French aristocracy.
It has sumptuous rooms with fine bed-linen, private bathrooms, period furniture, elaborate drapery, luxury beds, light and panoramic views.
In the sitting room there is a big fire place, an large sofa's to relax, and a bar where you can help yourself with drinks all day long.
Between 2000 and 2002 it has been re-decorated and renovated.
Chambolle is a double bedroom on the 1st floor king-size luxury divan bed, an open fireplace, stunning view over the park.
Bathroom with bath and shower; can form a family suite with Musigny.
Chassagne Montrachet is a family suite with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.
Montrachet has a king-size luxury divan bed and an additional single bed, washing basin in the room.
Chassagne has two single beds, washing basin in the room, south-facing with superb view.
There is also the possibility to rent only the Montrachet Room.
The Meursault room is located on the 1st floor.
Renovated in Spring 2016, it is decorated in grey blue colours.
It has a king-size luxury divan bed, en-suite bathroom with shower.
Musigny is shaded in natural and country colours.
It is the largest bedroom of the Chateau, with four-poster king-size luxury divan bed and an additional single bed, little sitting area with open fireplace, and south facing with view over the park.

Musigny can be part of a family suite together with the room Chambolle; you will have then 2 double bedrooms and 1 bathroom, sleeps 5.
The Santenots room, located on the 2nd floor, is decorated in natural and red colour; there are 2 single beds which are next
to each other, with en-suite bathroom with bath and shower.
The Volnay room is located on the 2nd floor, painted in warm yellow mustard colour; with queen-size luxury divan bed, a
free standing cast-iron bath, exposed in the room, shower and little en-suite bathroom.
For breakfast the hotel's team serve coffee, tea, hot chocolate, fresh juice, croissant and baguettes, home made jams, yoghurt, muesli, eggs and bacon, fruit...
Breakfast is included in the room price and can be proposed to the guests of the self catering cottages.

Every day of the week, the hotel's team can offer a Cheese & Wine platter, with local cheeses and fine Burgundian wines.
Cheese & Wine platters can be enjoyed inside or outside on one of the Chateau’s gardens or as a picnic in the park.
The hotel's team are both passionate wine and food lovers and have settled in Burgundy for just that reason.
Coen sits on the national wine judging board of Macon and Catherine, a great cook in her own kitchen, can source the best of local produce.
Dinner is possible on the Wednesday night and the Saturday night.
