Welcome to Necker Island, Sir Richard Branson’s private island paradise in the British Virgin Islands, a stunning and unspoilt area of the Caribbean.
At 74 acres, Necker sits in turquoise waters surrounded by coral reefs and fringed with beautiful white sandy beaches.
Necker Island is much more than just the sum of its individual parts.
Necker is undoubtedly the definition of a luxury party island, but version of luxury isn’t just about inviting beds, top class food, the latest activities and the best facilities, although you can of course expect all of these.
In the past it’s been called barefoot luxury, but the feeling when you arrive on island, whether it’s your first time or your 15th, is one of coming home.
Unless you feel completely at ease from the moment you step onto the island team hasn’t done jobs properly.
This is your home, but one where you don’t have to lift a finger. You may well forget what ‘real life’ is like during your stay, but that’s ok with hotel.
On Necker Island, service style means always being professional and honest, and constantly searching for new ways to improve guest experience.
Taking care of the environment is also high on agenda.
Necker Island is committed to sustainable development and respecting the local community and environment in which team operates.
Accommodation on Necker Island includes nine bedrooms in the Great House and six individual Bali Houses dotted around the island. There is also a bunkroom in the Great House that sleeps up to six children.
The total number of guests that can easily be accommodated on Necker Island is 30, plus six children in the bunkroom.
These three Balinese-style private houses are built on a cliff maximising the views, sea breezes and the sounds of the sea. Bali Cliff has a stunning open-air bathroom.
They are nestled together with one shared plunge pool but all with private en-suite bathrooms.
Situated in the centre of the island, these three Bali houses boast wonderful views and share a large central pool.
Bali Kukila takes its name from the Indonesian word for bird whilst Bali Buah is the Indonesian word for fruit.
Bali Lo is a spacious 3-tiered house with a top floor cosy relaxation area.
Perched in the middle of Necker Island, Temple House and Love Temple share an infinity edge pool, open lounge and panoramic views.
Both are built in the same Balinese style you’ll find elsewhere on island.
Just next to the Beach House, the Beach Pool has a freeform infinity pool complete with a swim-up bar where guests can sit and enjoy a drink.
There’s also a huge Jacuzzi right on the beach with space
for more than 30 people.
Within the pool complex is thatched Crocodile Pavilion with its large solid teak crocodile table.
Right on the island main beach, the Beach House sits in between the island’s two tennis courts and the Caribbean Sea.
With an impressive bar, space for games tables and an enormous 26-foot sofa.
The Beach House is the place for relaxed lunches and enjoying the sea breezes in between dips into the crystal clear waters.
This spacious al fresco style Balinese villa boasts amazing panoramic views of the Caribbean, the Atlantic and neighbouring islands.
Each of the eight guest rooms in the Great House has a balcony, and all come with king-size beds, most of which can be twinned, and en-suite bathrooms.
On the upper level you’ll find the Master Suite, complete with private outdoor Jacuzzi and outdoor bath.
All rooms in the Great House are fully air-conditioned.
Fine food is the highlight of any guest’s stay and rates are fully inclusive of all food and all beverages, including champagne.
Dining can be formal or informal, inside or outside, themed or traditional or a mixture of everything.
Guests are encouraged to treat Necker like home; therefore they are welcome to help themselves to anything they want, any time.
During your stay you’ll have the opportunity to dine all over the island.
From relaxed lunches on Turtle Beach to romantic dinners on the Great House roof terrace, you’ll be wowed by the locations as well as the food.
Make sure you don’t miss out on Necker’s famous floating sushi bar in the beach pool.
Bali Hi Beach is one of the most beautiful dinner settings you will ever experience.
After meeting in the main house for cocktails staff will drive
you down to the beach where you’ll be enchanted by a candlelit dinner, a large bonfire, and the sound of the waves crashing on the beach.
Restaurant offers a very unique twist to the traditional sushi bar and serve the sushi in a floating kayak filled with ice and decorated with beautiful flowers.
The chefs float the kayak down the Beach Pool and are there to tell you what decadent rolls and sashimi they have prepared.
On the upper level of the Beach House is a huge dining table that can seat up to 40 guests.
At any one time with views overlooking the tennis courts to one side and the ocean to the other.
Meet at the bar for cocktails and head up to the roof terrace where dinner will be served while you watch the sun set.
Dinner at the Great House is a revelation with a variety of themes to make each night unique.
Turtle Beach is a great option for lunch - team usually organise a sailing race around the island which ends at Turtle Beach for a drink and either a picnic style or BBQ style lunch.
If you fancy an afternoon activity the nearby reef promises some great snorkelling opportunities.
As if being on Necker wasn’t relaxing enough, the island also boasts the beautiful Bali Leha and Bali Samudra spa treatment rooms, combining fabulous treatments with an incredible setting.
Team uses Aromatherapy Associates skincare range which is exclusive to Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands.
Traditional bamboo massage combines the power of the hand with specialised bamboo techniques to help smooth out congested areas of tension.
When time is short and you need to look your best, this deep cleansing and brightening facial will leave your skin looking clear and luminous.
Muscle release massage works deeply to relieve stress and tension from your body.
From sandy white beaches to crystal clear water, on Necker Island there’s no shortage of things to do during the day.
And when the sun goes down the party starts.
Discover Necker’s 74 acres on an island walk, play tennis as a flock of flamingos flies by, or find your inner zen during a pilates class.
A party on Main Beach is a night to remember forever.
Richard Branson designed Necker Island to be his family’s holiday home and his children spent almost all of their school holidays there since they were infants, therefore it is no surprise that Necker Island is child friendly.
On Necker there are plenty of things for children to do, most of which will keep them active all day long.
From amazing treasure hunts to feeding the lemurs near the beach pool there are surprises around every corner.
Your kids could also spend the day splashing around with inflatable toys in the beach pool before enjoying a pirate party on the sand.
